Cookie Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use your browser's local storage for similar purposes (described below). This policy covers both.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the site and your account to function, and do not require your consent.
- Session cookie — keeps you signed in after you use a magic-link sign-in. Without this you would need to sign in again on every page.
- Stripe cookies — when you subscribe or manage billing, Stripe sets its own cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. These are set by Stripe, not us. See Stripe's Cookie Policy for details.
3. Analytics cookies (Google Analytics)
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 to collect anonymised information about how visitors use our site — for example, which pages are visited, how long people spend on them, and what device or browser is being used. This helps us improve the site.
We operate Google Analytics under Consent Mode v2. This means:
- No analytics cookies are set until you click “Accept analytics” on our cookie banner.
- If you decline, Google Analytics is loaded in a cookieless, non-identifying mode only (used by Google to model aggregate traffic — no personal data is stored or linked to you).
- We have enabled IP anonymisation, so your full IP address is never stored by Google.
- Data is not used for advertising, remarketing, or tracking you across other websites.
The cookies Google Analytics sets (when consent is granted) include:
- _ga — distinguishes unique users. Expires after 2 years.
- _ga_<ID> — maintains session state. Expires after 2 years.
For more information see Google's Privacy Policy and how Google Analytics safeguards your data.
4. Local storage (non-cookie)
We use your browser's local storage — not cookies — to remember:
- Your light/dark theme preference.
- Your response to our cookie banner.
This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
5. Managing your preferences
You can choose “Accept analytics” or “Decline” on our cookie banner at any time. To change a choice you've already made, clear your browser's local storage for this site (or clear all site data in your browser settings) and reload the page — the banner will reappear.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
6. Changes to this policy
If we start using additional cookies we will update this page and, where required by law, ask for your consent before setting them.
