Cookie Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by your browser. We also use your browser's local storage for similar purposes (described below). This policy covers both.
2. Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the site and your account to function, and do not require your consent.
- Session cookie - keeps you signed in after you use a magic-link sign-in. Without this you would need to sign in again on every page.
- Stripe cookies - when you subscribe or manage billing, Stripe sets its own cookies to process payments securely and prevent fraud. These are set by Stripe, not us. See Stripe's Cookie Policy for details.
3. Analytics and advertising cookies
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads to understand how visitors use our site and to measure whether our advertising works. This tells us things like which pages are visited, how long people spend on them, and whether someone who clicked one of our ads went on to place an order.
We operate these under Google Consent Mode v2, which means:
- No analytics or advertising cookies are set until you choose “Accept all” on our cookie banner.
- If you decline, Google is loaded in a cookieless, non-identifying mode only. Nothing is stored on your device and no personal data is linked to you - Google uses it to model aggregate traffic totals.
- We have enabled IP anonymisation, so your full IP address is never stored by Google.
- If you accept, Google may use this data to measure our ads and to show you our ads on other sites and apps (remarketing).
The cookies these services set, when you have given consent, include:
- _ga and _ga_<ID> - used by Google Analytics to distinguish users and maintain session state. Expire after 2 years.
- _gcl_au - used by Google Ads to measure ad clicks that lead to an order. Expires after 90 days.
For more information see Google's Privacy Policy, how Google Analytics safeguards your data, and your Google Ads settings, where you can turn off personalised advertising across all sites.
4. Local storage (non-cookie)
We use your browser's local storage - not cookies - to remember your response to our cookie banner.
This data stays on your device and is never sent to our servers.
5. Managing your preferences
You can choose “Accept all” or “Decline” on our cookie banner at any time. To change a choice you've already made, clear your browser's local storage for this site (or clear all site data in your browser settings) and reload the page - the banner will reappear.
You can also opt out of Google Analytics across all websites using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
6. Changes to this policy
If we start using additional cookies we will update this page and, where required by law, ask for your consent before setting them.
